Children age 3-6 spend all their time outdoors 4–6 hours daily, all-season long, in the forest. No classroom, no books, no manufactured toys and no such thing as bad weather, Rain or snow. The idea that the forest can be the classroom and is a natural way for children to discover the world around them. The forest helps them learn to identifying with nature, and said to even support the immune system and physical and mental health. Children gain self-confidence and good balance, running, jumping, climbing and hiking. Playing with sticks, digging in dirt, looking for frogs or climbing a tree, the children learn to enjoy the world around them. Many different variations of this education, like Wandergruppe a hiking groups , and SCHUB- Schule auf dem Bauernhof, "school on the farm".
Jean-Jacques Rousseau a philosopher from the 1700's said "The child will not enjoy a book about a river or a mountain if he has never actually climbed a mountain or looked for tadpoles in a river."

Obsessive Compulsion

Obsessive compulsion to clean and tidy. Cleaning all day long , constantly picking up toys, books, crayons and bits of paper . So how hard is it to fight the urge to tidy up a stack of crooked books at Barns and Noble . What about seeing the cereal boxes at the grocery store all are nice and straight except for that just one thats turned around? To stay healthy and happy is to learn how to relax. When we do have a chance to get out all alone use that time to clear your mind and buy yourself a coffee . Find something you enjoy that you can do alone like a walk or swimming at your YMCA . It's great when you feel like yourself again.
<img width='1' height='1' has turned Into a Cash Cow and now ripping off the American family.
Global Warming Tax or carbon tax will do nothing to reduce carbon emissions but only feed the already obese world government. A Colorado town in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains was the first to pass the municipal carbon tax. Boulder, Colo., charges residents and businesses based on how much electricity they use. Annually the tax will generate about $1 million for the city . The money funds energy audits for homes and businesses and Visits by energy experts to advise homeowners how to save energy through energy efficient lighting and insulation. Great just one more person advising us, trying to visit our home because thy are an expert and the American Family paying BIG BUCKS for a made up job.

To The American Mother

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2c4iF8LcJGc/R54Kk-qpGZI/AAAAAAAAAJc/bPt_uJvRYn0/s400/BB.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5160573853426588050" />

UN Wants Last Word on Raising Our Children

If the Senate approves the "UN Convention on the Rights of the Child", the world , not parents, will decide how to rear children.

The "Convention on the Rights of the Child" sets out these rights in 54 articles that spell out the basic human rights of children everywhere: right to survival; to develop to the fullest; protection from abuse ; (Yes ,great who disagrees but...) protection from harmful influences; to participate fully cultural and social life. (What might this mean? Can only be defined by them as what a harmful influence might be. Also do parents have a say in if we want our children to participate or not.) The four core principles of the Convention are non-discrimination; devotion to the best interests of the child; the right to life, survival and development; and respect for the views of the child. The Convention protects children's rights by setting standards in health care; education; and legal, civil and social services.
If the Senate ratifies Rights of the Child, the state, acting under UN direction, will decide what your children read, who they associate with, what discipline (if any) can be imposed and whether or not they can be home schooled (home-schooled children perform significantly better academically than their peers in public schools).

The UN should have no role in the upbringing of America's children. Congress has no role in state school systems under the 10th Amendment.
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Must Watch , Alex Jones' frighting new film "End Game: Blueprint For Global Enslavement"

Get Back To Work Girls!!

Some days are just for getting things done. I love busy days. As soon as you wake up suddenly the day feels fresh and new, and you feel urged to open all the windows , as if everything depended on letting in the sunshine . You feel you just have to hurry round and Organize Something, like dresser drawers or for Writing a to do list Signed "Mom". A beautiful sort of day, when everybody says "Yes, mommy" and "No, mommy," and waits until you tell them whats next on the list. It is a perfect morning for saying "put it in the box" and "someone find the broom," and then going to the kitchen and saying "oh, here it is." You can't help respecting anybody who can keep a clean house, even if it's not clean for long; but cleaning isn't everything. There are days when a clean house simply doesn't count; like when you know there is nobody coming to visit.

Keeping Me On My Toes

The horror on my face to find the kitchen floor , walls, chairs and stove covered in red . I do my best not to leave anyone out, but sometimes at the end of the the day I think I should have given more of myself. With children half my time is spent trying to get them to come and half trying to get them to stay. You can learn many things from children, like the ability to endure delay and procrastination without becoming annoyed. To teach the concept "come and stay", I need to do the same when they call me to play.

The Grocery Store

I remember, when we only had one child and we would get ready and get out the door in a matter of seconds. It can be easy having one child. Being a little girl she had a gentle disposition and was very mild and easy to manage. To take one child to the store can actually be very enjoyable. 5 years later we had our second, a little boy and only a few months later, pregnant with #3, baby boy. Now going anyplace is no easy task. We have a time limit and if we pass that line things start going down hill fast. Yes, I never thought it would happen to me but I was the woman two rows over at the grocery store with the crying child. That was me having to leave a full cart of grocery's and hurry out embarrassed. I remember once only needing diapers and formula, a must have, and the baby started to cry. We ended up being in the slow check out line. Tears in my eyes I couldn't look at anyone and when I finally got to the car I sat cried.

So now that the children are getting older we can do more. I am very proud of how good they are when we go places and I can't complain, I only have 3 , my sister has 4. Today I am going to take the kids to the doctors office, the baby has a checkup and shots.
(I pray the kids are good!)

Flawless

Dear Fans, Intrigued by the term "domestic housewife"? WARNING This term may suggest three things, that I have been domesticated, that I stay home, and that I am a wife. Wow, the hard truth is for me, it's all true!
To the woman who decides the occupation of caring for her home and family, Rock On!! Who said anything about stupid? I have had many major accomplishments and this is but the greatest. Boot camp was 100 times easier and I would actually consider it the equivalent of a spa vacation. Life does not end now that I am a mom, so try not to loose your self in the suburban neighborhood. The homemaker has a secret. She feels like a fraud hidden behind the doors of her beautiful home. She gives the deception of little effort, when in fact there is a never ending struggle to keep a clean house. You are selling yourself short, You are not a fraud. Look at all the effort it takes to keep your family running. So when you are recognized for your perfectionist attitude, cooking, gardening, and work ethic, which at times borders on obsessive compulsion, it's time to take some credit for a job well done.

Jack of all trades

No requirements needed. On-the-job training with 24 hour shifts and always on call. Of course our elderly have been living the longest and we pass along what they say, just in case.

Adjacent to our home, are three little houses and in each house lives an elderly widow. Each with her own gruesome story's and always told to me when I least expect it. Story's that catch you off guard. Disturbing story not told about them self but only about the old woman waving to us both from her porch only 10 feet away. During the long months of Summer, I have witnessed many times one of them dumping things like bacon grease and kitty litter over the fence, into the others back yard. After a windy day branches and arms full of leaves are flung over the fences of the other. Amazingly for being so hunched over and and have to be pushing 90, the only way this is possible is shear will power.

There has been many arguments over stray cats. A dilemma for them as who gets to feed the cats. Story's of someone kicking a kitty dish off the others fount steep and saying things like "she thinks she owns all the cats in town" are only too common. One lady enjoys sitting and feeding the squeals. One day she had a sqirrel eating out of her hand, just as the other old lady was on her porch rocking and petting her stray kitty. Now there are many versions to the story, the cat ether leaped off her lap, or the cat being thrown off the porch and grabbed the squirrel and took off down the street.

As for the weather one old woman said to me "I have been living in this house all my life. I have had 5 husbands each one has died, and one I found hung himself in my basement. I have always enjoyed watching the squeals but never in all my life, have the squirrels acted so strange. It's going to be a long, bad winter this year, you will see". So after creeping me out again, I thought I would pass it on, just in case.

Ugh, Flu Season

It finally snowed on Sunday and white new fluffy flakes covered the town. Residents that have not bagged their leaves are relieved that they can now wait till spring. The roads are slippery, and the local news media can't stress it enough. They retell the story of the women who slid off the bridge into the river on her way to town. So now drivers are driving slower and drivers who already drive slow are now, driving even slower.

On Sunday we came to the conclusion our 3 year old had the flu. Rattling our brains, we came up with a short list of child visitors who may have left us a virus. Of course notty children were at the top of the list. Realizing later, tomato soup was a bad choice for dinner, the flu bug had been caught by our 8 year old. Shortly flowing our 1 year old who's second birthday was on Monday and celebrated only with saltine crackers and orange gatorade. Towels and wash buckets were being switched, and the washer was running nonstop. The familiar smells of flu season were quickly swapped with a linen scent, Lysol. With the never ending battle to fight off the germs by washing our hands and not kissing the children, my husband Glen and I , pale white went on pretending we were fine.

Glen went to the pharmacy Monday night in spite of the roads being so slippery and reminding me the woman who slid into the river did in fact survive. He came back with 2 different flavors of children's Pepto watermelon and cherry. Possibly hungry from not the traditional birthday cake, we found the now 2 year old eating the watermelon pepto at 4:30 am on Tuesday morning.
Calling the 1-800 number on the box, a womans voice said "hola"! Passing the phone to Glen, I glanced out the kitchen window. The moon was shinning in snow and I could hear the sounds of the baby asking for more, and Glen asking in a irritable tone "English por favor"? Thinking of the eight year old bottle of Ipecac Syrup on top of the refrigerator that I received for a first baby shower gift. I was Dreading having to use something that clearly read expires Jan. 2002. Glen put down the phone, "Well, good news. The doctor said he's ok and might just get a little backed up ." So putting the Ipecac Syrup back in it's spot, I tucked the baby back into bed. Singing him a quiet "happy birthday to you" then kissed him goodnight.

The Perfect Christmas Tree

Not in this house! Every year I have tried to have a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, but now with the boys ages 2 and 3. Being so interested in gravity, last year the tree was pushed over just about twice a day. Most of the ornaments were destroyed, every time the tree fell an angle lost it's wings and head. We got smart this year and put plastic ornaments up, but not too much later I've been finding the kids playing kick ball with them. Luck fully only one trip to the emergency room this Christmas, Baby ran into tree branch and pocked his eye. Today I really don't mind an ugly tree, I pick up the ornaments and just put them in the toy box. Still a star at the top and, hanging in the branches a bunch of wire hooks and knotted string.

Dirty Dishes Pile Up

Can't find a clean spoon? Number each item in order of priority.
5. Lose tasks that do not help you achieve your goals . Place a value on your time, value your time at $25an hour.
6.
