Making wonderful memories of Christmas for your children this year with a little planning. Remember making out long wish lists and circling pictures in the toy section of the newspaper. Making Christmas ornaments , singing Christmas carols together and opening presents all form lasting memories. Food always plays a part in these memories. Many families have their own traditions that are recreated every year. If your family doesn't consider starting one! Handing down a tradition to your children can be a perfect gift in this fast paced world. Think of some ways to give your child wonderful memories of Christmas and what traditions you would like to hand down to them.

Ahna,
I don't know what happen. I commented on this post but it's gone now, sigh.

Instead of hanging stockings I had our children set out their shoes by their bedroom doors. This is a tradition in Holland. I would fill the shoes with wrapped treats and and gifts. This they could open and enjoy while we adults grabbed a few more zzz's before the big morning.
